Submissions, which have to be in English, are expected to report on new research that makes a substantial technical or economical contribution to the field. In particular, submitted research must be unpublished and not under review in any other conference or journals (submissions that violate this requirement will be regarded as self-plagiarism).
Submissions to the Smarter Europe conference are handled via the Springer-Submission System. Please register at the Springer-Submission System (Online Conference Service) and submit your abstract and paper there.
The Smarter Europe 2017 conference proceedings will be published online by Springer. Conference presentations will be separately published by E-world energy & water for conference participants.
Please note that both final papers and abstracts can be submitted until the 10th January, 2017. The submission of a final paper allows you to be selected for the SmartER Europe conference proceeding publication of Springer.
Submitted abstracts should not exceed 6000 characters (spaces included) in the given style template below.
Final Paper Submission
Submitted papers should fulfil the Springer style template below. The regular page limit is 15 pages. This should provide you with some additional space that can be seen as a chance to improve the quality of your contribution, which is always very welcome. If this is still not enough, please contact us.
Since we asked to prepare your submission in a special SmartER Europe format, we would kindly ask to revise your submission and use the usual Springer format now. The Springer template for Word 2003 can be found here and the template for Word 2007 and later can be found here. If you like to use LaTeX, you should use this template. The Springer author guidline can be found here.
